Lord Jesus,
Nicodemus came to You by night,
careful that his colleagues didn’t see.
How many today
are reluctant to come,
embarrassed
at what their friends and colleagues would say.
You were surprised
that a leader in the church,
knew nothing of being born in the Spirit.
How many leaders in the church today,
are so busy with the institution
that they are not open to the Spirit?
Lord Jesus,
by Your shameful,
repulsive death
You attract people to You.
Always
You humble Yourself
to draw people to You.
