As part of our Mission Statement we state that we exist to show all people that they are loved by Christ. Jesus told us “Love your neighbour as you love yourself.” Mark 12 : 31. and “Do for others what you want them to do for you: this is the meaning of the Law of Moses and the teaching of the prophets.” Matthew 7 : 12
As part of our obedience to these instructions we have committed ourselves to the work of organisations such as Christian Aid, Habitat for Humanity,
A Rocha, & to support Union St. Oldham and to be an Eco-Congregation.

Our commitment to being a channel of God’s love to a hurting world is demonstrated by the fact that 10% of our annual income goes to help the work of such caring ministries.
Whenever there are disasters in the world, we respond by having collections within the church:-.

herein made shall not lapse but shall be applied for such charitable purposes of the
United Reformed Church as shall be directed by the Synod of the Province of the
United Reformed Church in which The Local Church was situated at the date of its closure
and in such event the receipt of the Treasurer or other Proper Officer of such
Provincia l Synod shall be a good and sufficient discharge to my Executor(s)/Trustee(s)
Giving
Christian Aid is the organisation in which all the churches in Britain share to bring help to the poor and hungry of the world. www.christianaid.org.uk/
Habitat for Humanity is a global organisation providing homes for people who are homeless or living in poor housing. There is a project in Liverpool in which members of the church are taking part. www.habitatforhumanity.org.uk
A Rocha is a world wide Christian organisation working in conservation.

Union Street Oldham is a church that was caught up in the riots in July 2001, and which we have been supporting through prayer and visits to each other’s churches.

The work of our church is supported entirely by the generous giving of the members and visitors are not expected to make a contribution, though can do so if they choose.
Those members who choose to give by Standing Order, can download and
