Worship
It is important to us that in our Worship there is a friendly atmosphere and that the services are relevant to people’s real needs and Bible based.
We also recognise that people have different tastes in styles of worship and so we offer a variety of services.
Sunday Service 10.30 am
This is our main service during the week. There is a Junior Church for children and RS2 for teenagers. The children and teenagers worship with the rest of the congregation for the first 20/30 minutes and so the songs, prayers and the message are child friendly. Most Sundays a family will lead the opening prayer.
In our Sunday morning service there is a blend of contemporary and traditional music, the singing being led by a music group and the organ. Creche facilities are available for children.
In morning Worship we celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday each month.

Children in Worship
We run a Junior Church as part of the morning worship. There are three classes for children of different age groups, together with a teenage class.
Sunday 6.30 pm – Alternative Worship
We call our evening services “Alternative Worship,” because in these services we like to be more experimental, with more contemporary contemplative music, and with the use of the visual and interactive worship. The alternative service is your friendly once a month the is youth focused.
In the evening services we celebrate Holy Communion on the third Sunday of each month.
Traditional Services - 5.00pm on Sundays
These services take place weekly and use only traditional hymns accompanied by the organ.
They are followed by a cup of tea in the church lounge. These are particularly valued by the older members of the congregation and those who find it difficult to come to services on Sunday morning.
Prayer and Praise Evenings.
These times of worship and prayer take place monthly on Wednesday evenings at 7.30 pm. These meetings are unstructured and Spirit led. (For details of the next Prayer and Praise see the church diary)
Prayers around the Cross (using songs and prayers from Taizé)
These times of prayer based on the worship of the Taizé Community in France, take place on a monthly basis (alternating between Wednesday evenings and Sunday evenings). At the heart of these meeting is a time of silent reflection.
Midday Prayers
Prayers are offered in the church each weekday at 1.00 pm, which are based on Prayer Rhythms, a prayer book in the Celtic style written by Ray Simpson, the leader of the community of Aidan and Hilda based on Lindisfarne.
